Located between S'Algar and Binibeca on the south east corner of Menorca lies the small but popular resort of Punta Prima.  Its wide expanse of fine, white sand means there is usually space for everyone on the beach but it does tend to be much busier on weekends with day trippers from nearby Mahon.

Punta Prima is a short 15 minute journey from the airport so holiday makers can  be sunning themselves on the beach within minutes of arriving in Menorca.  A popular resort with families, Punta Prima still feels spacious with the added bonus of a selection of bars, restaurants and shops overlooking the sea and out to the uninhabited Isla del Aire.

Punta Prima has all the facilities of larger resorts in Menorca and the area is well served by public transport to and from Mahon. During peak season a 'mini train' runs between Punta Prima and nearby Binibeca.  The beach at Punta Prima can be subject to strong off-shore currents at times but life guards patrol during the summer season and there is a flag warning system in operation to advise bathers when to exercise caution.
